FILM AND PERCEPTION: Movies

Period films, foreign films and science fiction films. And then there are films that require seeing four stories at once, letting go of ordinary time or a suspension of ordinary reality. Telling stories backwards and/or with flashbacks, as well as splicing actual events with fantasy has become commonplace in filmmaking and requires a suspension of ordinary reality, much like entering a dream of listening to a fairy tale.
